NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service provided an update on recent work to rebuild Round Mountain Hut and the Linesman Huts.

This month Round Mountain Hut reached the major milestone of lockup stage, with the completion of the cladding of the hut and installation of its windows. The hut now also has a door and a chimney with a snow hatch. Work will continue in the last week of February on constructing the hut's firebox and hearth, followed by the fixing of the hut's floorboards in the first week of March.

The Linesman Huts have also been clad, lined and painted inside. Floorboards were recently fixed in the gable hut. At the end of March, tiles and stoves will be fitted.
