From Australia ICOMOS International Movement on Monuments and Sites

A new version of the Burra Charter has been adopted and launched by Australia ICOMOS.

The guidelines that were associated with the 1999 version have now been replaced by Practice Notes. The Burra Charter 1999 and the Guidelines to the Burra Charter are now considered archival documents.

The Burra Charter 2013 and associated Practice Notes can be downloaded for free from the website:

Please note that there are a few new Practice Notes including:
