Jerry Gregg is a reknowned bushman from Queanbeyan NSW. His extraordinary contributions to KHA have included a short stint on the Committee, but he far prefers to spend time outdoors, working on the huts. His skillswith traditional tools are exceptional.

For a number of years Jerry Gregg has been a vital member, if not mainstay of the KHA maintenance group.

I think I first met Jerry in 1997 when we were both part of a workparty at Westermans homestead in the ACT. Jerry went on to become a regular fixture at the numerous workparties to bring Westerman's Cottage back to life, and he scarcely missed one over that time. Throughout this project he was a great support to the project manager, Maurice Sexton, always being available to transport people, materials and tools, and to source materials for the job.

When not at workparties in Namadgi, Jerry was often out visiting huts in KNP to check their condition, and attending workparties in both northern and southern KNP. Hainsworth, Witses, Wheelers, O'Keefes, Max and Berts in NNP, plus many more that I have forgotten, and more recently workparties at Doctors hut at Geehi and emergency work at Wheelers.

In the late 1990s Jerry became HMO South, where he put in a great effort to inspect and maintain all the huts in that region. He still remains in contact with several caretakers from this region, and is an invaluable source of advice for these members. For all involved in the maintenance of the huts in KNP and NNP Jerry has made an enormous contribution, and has been a source of advice and assistance on so many occasions.

Jerry was made a Life Member of KHA in May 2004.
