Robert Pallin has been involved in bushwalking, canyoning and cross country skiing almost since birth.
He has walked, skied and cycled in national parks and other natural areas in Europe, USA, China, South America and most parts of eastern Australia.
Robert is chairman of the Paddy Pallin group of companies. Robert and his wife Nancy have two children, Tim and Catherine. Tim is a keen skier and walker.
Robert has also been actively involved in conservation and the management of national parks and was appointed to the Lane Cove State Recreation Area Trust, and later the NPWS North Metropolitan District Advisory Committee, and represented recreational users on the National Parks and Wildlife Advisory Council for eight years.
Robert and his wife Nancy have been bushwalking in the Snowy Mountains for over 40 years and have twice skied from Kiandra to Kosciuszko. In that time Robert has introduced dozens of scouts and friends to the enjoyment and love of our mountains.Robert and his wife Nancy regularly ski using Illawong Lodge near Mount Twynam.
In addition to being patron of the Kosciusko Huts Association, Robert is also chair of the Nature Conservation Council of NSW and has a particular interest in biodiversity and bush fire issues.
